Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

http://www.borganic.net  is a website I found a few days ago.I saw a program on public TV,where recycled materials are used in remodeling a house.I went there and found wild edible foods that I never saw presented as food anywhere.Maple leaf seeds(the helicopters) are a food in their own right. So now I offer it here for people to look at.Guess I will fight the squirrels this fall for maple leaf seeds? They also contain sugar.triffid

One currency is a dream and will not happen any time soon for the same reason that one single earthly government wont rule over each country.  Everyone wants to do it their way.  Each economy has different strengths.  I bet Germany rues the day it bothered with the EURO.  What a epic fail.  A nice big crash is coming and no amount of talking is going to change that.
Get on with living.

More on Egypt:I think the answer is very simple. Millions of Egyptians are angry and frustrated because their economy no longer supports even a basic standard of living. The ingredients simply aren't there. This isn't a religious conflict. It is a resourceconflict
Egypt's population, now around 80 million, has grown 21% since the year 2000. About 40% of them have $2 or less in daily income. This meager amount was once just enough to feed a family, thanks to government food subsidies.
The money for those subsidies came from Egypt's oil export revenue. Unfortunately, oil production peaked in 1996 at 935,000 barrels per day and has gone downhill ever since. In 2010, Egyptian oil consumption exceeded its oil production. The former oil exporter became a net oil importer. Not coincidentally, riots forced out Mubarak the next year.
Oil shortages weren't the only problem, though. As recently as the 1960s, Egypt produced enough food to support itself. Now, with the vast majority of food imported, Egyptians have to pay world-market food prices.
Global wheat prices doubled between June 2010 and February 2011. It wasn't pleasant for anyone, but for Egyptians it was life or death. Food riots swept the country, Mubarak could not satisfy the crowds, and here we are.

Qwert

In Egipt, Mursi made this conflict strictly religious: His religious group wanted to initiate more or less, but rather more STRICT, RELIGIOUS RESTRAINTS.

Qwert has a point, but so does triffid, IMO.   The Muslim Brotherhood is radical, but Mursi's bunch wanted it their way, too, right?   The military is another factor, with guns, and can inflame the situation, badly, if they decide to really impose their will with deadly force.   The common people are in the middle?   No food or water, or both, will make a person desperate in a hurry.   And the economy of Egypt can't be doing great with all the demonstrations and riots.
I don't know if the Egyptian citizens can voluntarily pull their country back from the brink of civil war or total collapse, but the whole situation is going downhill, IMO, and mob rule doesn't usually make for clear-headed, intelligent, forthright decisions with respect to the greater good for all.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.
