I think that we are smart enough to figure things out on our own.Without our great leaders telling us what to think.There are people who sit on the front porch to see whats happening on their street and not spend time in front of the tv set.At least here in st.Louis its cool enough to sit on your porch if you have one.Once in a while.In texas where it reaches triple digit heat often
you don't sit on the porch.You suffer the risk of heatstroke if you do.triffid

I dont think the 90 year old man was looking for a JOB.I think it was just personal achievement he was after.So kudus to him for finishing up!Afterall any job he had in his life took him w/o a high school degree.I don't think more school for me is in the cards.So I will continue to read and learn as much as I can about the things that interest me.triffid

I saw the fine art of scrapping yesterday.Box cutter knives were used to clean the mattresses and the boxsprings that were picked up out of the trash.Steel cans were included.No 25 lb min here it seems.I was told that they had brought in $168 in one day for two truckloads.Yes you need a truck or the use of one anyway.When She decides to go scrapping she takes her two daughters and goes through the dumpsters looking for cans and whatever else that has metal in it.After the mattresses were cleaned I thought these springs would make neat looking antenna for any ham radio operators out there.They store it up for a while until they have a truckload then clean it in the alley.Take it in to sell.I had seen some scrapping before but never mattresses and boxsprings.triffid

Ron Paul says that congress has to stop allowing the federal reserve to create money and credit out of thin air.Then things will improve for the american people.So as long as our currency continues to be devalued things will not get better.Business will not create new jobs while the currency is being devalued. triffid

She included spray cans that had the top removed and empty of their previous contents.As long as a magnet could stick to it she called it steel.If a magnet didn't stick she called it aluminum.Anyway its sorted out at the scrapyard anyway so she doesn't need to be 100 % correct.triffid
