Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Do you think the American economy will ever improve?

Yes, definitely
Possibly, in the long run
No, it will worsen
Undecided

You do not get rich by working at a JOB.You have to start your own company. You just survive at a JOB.
When there are less jobs then less people are surviving well. triffid

You nailed that one on the head. Even having a Masters or PhD doesn't get you much of a decent paying job. So developing something and starting your own company is the way to go if a person is able to. Applying for Grants or private funding is good.

In general, I agree with you.   But more specifically to my experience, I've had to work for arrogant jerks for years until I was disabled.   These guys didn't gave a damn about anything but making money at any cost---and they're (all!) out of business now.
To start a business, find something you love to do.   (Make sure!) there's a market for what you want to do or sell.   Get funding as much as you need.
(You'll need more than you'll probably ask for, and they should know that.)

Find a good crew of employees or you'll be out of business.   Great organizations like the cable TV Whale Conservation Groups to stop whaling ships in the Pacific are a prime example.   They'll die to defend whales.   You need workers like these.

Look out for dishonest competitors and criminals, if you can.   There are a lot of them, so they're difficult to avoid.

Do the best you can.   You'll probably need luck, too; that would be nice.

I worked in small and medium-sized companies for 25 yrs., so I think I know whereof I speak.   I wasn't born at midnight yesterday as well, so I should know a thing or two.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

I worked for a giant company the last 11 years of my career.I do see the need for people to start making America more energy independent.Private individuals who want to make a difference. For the production and distribution of biodiesel.Any gains we can make there would only help us.We need to keep the money at home.
There are those who have jumped in this area and what they have done is impressive. They are proving it can be done. With waste streams we can make biodiesel.Out of sewage we can make biodiesel. We can make it out of algae.Out of weeds.Out of feedlot wastes. No need to use food crops to make it.Watch the two hour movie I provided a link to.Of course I like wind and solar too. These jobs created could not be outsourced.I made pepsi for four years for Pepi cola. Its hard for me to see how that job could be outsourced to China.Teleportation would have to be invented for that to occur.triffid

Tonight I found a good reason to turn 60 which I do this year.

One Reason to Look Forward to 60
One of the best things about turning 60 is qualifying for cheap hunting and fishing permits.
In the state of missouri a combined hunting and fishing permit costs $70.00.Age 59 its $300.

I forgot to say these are lifetime permits for a state resident.

Self sustaining and renewable are the things we should be looking for.I have seen more people fight for survival in st.Louis than anywhere else in my life.It freaks me out at times. When room and board in jail becomes part of your plans to survive how low is that?I know a man with 11 kids and no job who is sitting in jail right now.How low is that?I have not seen my squatters for 2 and 1/2 months.People are now telling me they must have moved on.I hope they are right.I never did buy that gun.I get too angry sometimes to have one. triffid
