Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Thanks Mags for the christmas wish.I spent the weekend with family near st.louis,mo.Both My brother and I are big Ron Paul supporters. He showed me the Jay Leno show with Ron Paul on it.Ron Paul was shown as a lightweight fighter in the first part of the show.I am looking forward to having him as a president.I want us to end all foreign wars, bring the troops home.I want money reforms too.triffid
Wow, criminy!!
The thread I started has still gone strong in my absence.   A whole lot of people did want to see what was being said here by---especially---triffid and myself.   Alright, now!   This is one of the longer and more-viewed thread on the whole OU.com board.

I've had to spend a few days on the "streets of S.F.", as the TV show suggested.   Not easy or fun at my age(62).   I'm in what functionally amounts to homeless shelter for up to 6 mos.   I'll qualify for VA HUD Sect. 8 in about 5-6 weeks.

In the meantime, my prediction still stands:   Real bad economic hardship is coming, including no money to speak of, except possibly for barter.   N. Africa and the Middle East are still in turmoil:

Greece is no better:

And then there's California.   I live here, so this hits home in a big way:

There is no answer to this but, for me:   Try and get ready as best you can.
Triffid has at least some self-sufficiency in his house.   Others live at the edge of typical civilization.   Everyone should be aware of the starving, Night-of-the-Living-Dead" wannabes who might become more than merely "numerous" and overwhelm whomever they believe has food, water, power, guns&ammo for the guns.   The military isn't any help in that case.   As I said, "No answer for this".   At least no good answer.

So, then, I'll do the best that I can, and continue informal research, as always.   I imagine the Members will do as well.

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

Europe as a whole will suffer a double-dip recession. In the U.S., by contrast, federal aid to the states softened the impact of the recession, allowing the economy to start growing again; while states still had to cut thirty-one billion in spending, the stimulus aid saved hundreds of thousands of jobs.
All this aid comes at a price, of course: it increases moral hazard, and it increases the national deficit. But the federal government is able to borrow money at exceptionally cheap rates, and, at a time like this, when the economy is still trying to find its feet, forcing states to cancel building projects and furlough teachers and policemen makes little economic sense. (Indeed, there’s a strong case to be made that more of the original stimulus package should have gone to state aid.) The European model would do more harm than good, as American history shows: in the early eighteen-forties, after the bursting of a credit bubble, many states found themselves in a debt crisis. The federal government refused to bail them out, and eight states defaultedâ€"a move that cut off their access to credit and helped sink the economy deeper into depression. The U.S. did then what Europe is doing now, putting the interests of fiscally stronger states above the interests of the community as a whole. We seem to have learned our lesson. If Europe wants to be more than just Germany and a bunch of other countries, it should do the same. ♦

Can anyone name the eight states that defaulted back in 1840's?I can't either but it could have led to the American civil War???????triffid
