But with my past Boy Scout experience of about 45 yrs ago, I've seen the overall ecology of the Western States decline during that time period.   The beaver were killed and the forests cut down.
Mining interests completed the r-a-p-e of the land.

Bears and mountain lions roam these higher mountains.   They're at least unpredictable.   As I said, go armed---but the 2-legged varmits will probably give you the most hassle over survival.    I've lived on the streets; I know what a 'desperado' is amongst the local Spanish speakers here in S.F.

Willy,I agree with Lee here .The forests have declined in the past 100 years.Growing your own is a dream as most people went to school  for professions that went overseas and no one trained to be farmers.I called missouri coin company today to see if they are filling out IRS1099 forms for $600 and over sales of gold and silver coins.I was told that law was canceled.So they are not.They should know.triffid




If China and other huge players are keeping gold and silver prices down by "shorting" the sales of both items.
Now is the time to buy some junk silver.As hyperinflation hits you will still be able to feed yourself by trading silver.

i get 90% of my food via hunting, trapping, fishing or growing right now... so, no need to argue, i live it. and pity those who do not.
