Sea Monkey and big M,I agree with both of your statements.The USA will profit from more war and Russia is reigniting old tired alliances by making them aware there still is a tiger out in the woods.
I have some big news myself.I will be working on a generator made from a ceiling fan.
Go to u-tube and search for"ceiling fan to generator".My brother has already put his together and by hand spinning can get a high voltage of 20 volts and one half amp.Thats a ten watt generator made from parts easily obtained.So far the cost is slightly over one dollar a watt. Not counting time and labor.

I watched another "Cosmos" show last night and they talked about Michael Faraday.
They said that if he had not been born that we would still be in the  17th century.Because of his work in electricity and invention of the first electric motor he changed human history .So one man can make a difference.Three more cosmos shows to watch.triffid

I keep thinking of all the earth type worlds out there (about 20 so far that we know about ).If we discover one with oxygen on it there might be a big push to go to it. To try to settle it.So im dreaming.About worlds with just bacteria,no trees,no grass.
of course we could just work on mining non living worlds.How much easier to work in no gravity conditions.leave mars alone and just mine the Oort cloud.The space elevator will change everything about how we leave this planet.Only about ten years away from finding a material strong enough to use on the earth.The materials we already know about will work on the moon and mars and all the moons of jupiter and saturn.triffid
