Get a long haired dog put a vest with round metal contacts on it and let it play around in the sun hooked with a battery charger under it's chin. Gives new meaning to the term "Puppy Power".  :D

I'm merely a theoretical electronics engineer/technician for now, since I have no extra money for experimentation, but I was a professional electronics/computer technician in the past.
As a result, I have a lot of ideas, but no hard test results to back them up---for now.  That could change if I get a job locally in the Bay Area of California.

Very big breakthrough. Thanks for posting. I doubt that he is using the hair. He is probably dissolving the hair in acid and converting it to a plastic semiconductor and then doping that on one surface to create a PN junction. I hope he will be giving the details.

EDIT: I guess I was wrong. In the article it says "People can replace the hair easily themselves" so he is actually using the hair.
