Some enterprising folk probably have a new flock of sheep thanks to sewer muck.  "Hey let's truck 'em out of here and then light this pond!"

We'll blame Tesla's legacy and they'll buy it!

Here is a thing to research if you can be bothered.

red Algae,

It eats excess CO2 in ocean water.
Its highly toxic, its a skin irritant.

Your Dolphins look like they came into contact with acid.
I suspect that is the case. They swam through this cloud for a sustained period and that is what killed them. With global warming you can expect more of this shit because Red Algae loves CO2 and its not the only one.

If you even see it in the ocean never go near the water. Any water above 28 degrees will support these algae as water at those temps can no longer hold gases like oxygen. CO2 however persists.
Its oxygen that kills Red Algae.
