Could be but Don Smith claimed that the #9 device has been successfully replicated and was commercially produced in Russia. He also claims that each pair of coils generates 1kW @ 50A or 50kW. So if this device doesn't work then I'll have to label Don Smith as an old lying nut case.

To understand the action of the local condenser E in fig.2 let a single discharge be first considered. the discharge has 2 paths offered~~ one to the condenser E the other through the part L of the working circuit C. The part L  however  by virtue of its self induction  offers a strong opposition to such a sudden discharge  wile the condenser on the other hand offers no such opposition ......TESLA..
