   I believe cellphone communications avoids the cmbr frequencies.  They go above and below because it is way too noisy.  What does happen when two waves cancel each other?  Photon annihalation must cause the energy of the two photons to go somewhere.  Like if you have a loop antennae excited and creating photons what happens when the photons in the nearfield of the antennae meet incoming photons of the same frequency but out of phase.  I really have no idea but laws of conservation of energy and momentum are hard to break.

if you could fire two photons at one another and at the same frequency, ..the wave model of the photon suggests that there are two forces acting at right angles, my guess would be that the don't negate, but simply become unapparent because the energy in translated to two different magnifications perpendicular to one another...

Why is light speed considered the fastest, yet, it's in the middle of the EM spectrum?  It's not unreasonable to think that it may become some other frequency of emission.

Actually, you have to consider the fact that there is no reference frame for the photon, what orientation does it take, ..seems dependent on the source ( chaotic, none the less ).

   An emwave can be viewed as a photon pack.  The photon does respond to rotating inertial frames.  EG seeing stars that are behind the Sun.  There is also some controversial evidence that the behaviour of photons is effected by just observation.  The amplitude of the wave is one measure of the quanity of photons involved which would account for the intensity of the waves to a certain extent while the density of the photon pack is also a consideration.  Anyway I believe that the photons do not annhialte each other they form mass.  The waves appear to stand.  The more waves standing in the same field the more mass.  Mass to energy and energy to mass.  The addition of photons into different forms of mass can result in the conversion of the standing waves of the mass into radiatnt energy which no longer stands.
