Good point - although we aren't privy to what HAARP is truly capable of, because we're not told. Thomas Bearden talks about longitudinal scalar weather manipulation, Project Blue Beam, a holographic projection, is another of several possibilities, it seems to me. I find it difficult to fathom that a missile could have caused this precise geometric manifestation. The first thing that occurred to me is that it was being laser-projected from the hill, but then the beam projection itself seems to have a 3d spiral within it? unless this is being projected downwards towards the hill, as commentators describe the blue spiral beam coming out from the center.
     Stewart Swerdlow has some interesting comments on Blue Beam in the redicecreations.com archives - and then there is the China spiral video. A recent article on this site talks about the Hessdalan light phenomena in a Norway valley still ongoing. So UFO phenomena can't be ruled out either, and that encompasses
a) natural phenomena, misunderstood or misidentified b) geophysical or piezoelectric 'earth lights' phenomena c) interdimensional or extraterrestrial activity.

This coincides with the Copenhagen summit? hmm.

One more thing, there is an 'cone' or an envelope of light in the image that encompasses both spirals, and the apex of the cone points back to that location on the hill, so I wonder what was going on there...

The first video is very interesting, in view of the proximity to Silbury Hill. There have been many reports of golden orbs, 'amber gamblers' or 'earth lights' in the vicinity of ancient sites, such as Stone Henge, and numerous locations in Wiltshire. I would suggest reading Andrew Collin's 'The Circlemakers' to see how widespread this phenomenon is, and how it is frequently connected with crop circles.
       The UFO phenomena covers a broad spectrum and if you investigate this with an open mind, there are numerous possibilities:

1) misunderstood natural phenomena

2) electromagnetic or piezoelectric light manifestations related to granite faults in the earth's crust - read Paul Devereux's work and the Dragon project where he investigates the relationship between crustal faults, ultrasonic emissions from Stonehenge and other ancient stone sites, noting that dawn seems to coincide with peak activity - Andrew Collins wrote a fascinating book called Alien Energy where he attempted, and partially succeeded to replicate the work of Trevor James Constable who claimed to have taken infra-red photographs of energetic entities in the ionisphere. By conducting group meditations at ancient ceremonial sites with psychics, Collins was able to produce a number of similar photographs with anomalous dark ellipses after group meditations had been conducted - attempting to 'draw down' the 'site guardian' or whatever energies were present at these ancient sites. He drew a connection with Wilhelm Reich's 'orgone energy' to anomalously created crop circles and described how the layered structure of Silbury Hill had an interesting resemblance to Reich's orgone generator. He was able to demonstrate with various devices that background radiation, ultrasonic emissions and infra-red photography could all be influenced at these sites by what he called, 'non-local psycho-interactive processes'. I have personally witnessed two inexplicable globes of light at St. Michael's Mount, Penzance, Cornwall, which is said to be the tail end of a 'ley line' which goes right up to Rosslyn Chapel, south of Edinburgh. I later discovered that there had been numerous UFO sightings in the St. Michael's Mount location.

3) interdimensional or 'ultraterrestrial' activity, similar to the above, relating to entities with the ability to transcend both time and space;

4) extraterrestrial visitation, the so-called 'nuts and bolts' physical spacecraft - if you dismiss this prospect, try reading 'Cosmic Crashes' by Nick Redfern, which details the astonishing events which have occurred in the UK (never mind the rest of the world), and the lengths authorities have gone to cover them up; 'A Covert Agenda' by the same author; 'Above Top Secret' by Timothy Good, 'You can't tell the people' by Georgina Bruni, referring to her conversation with Margaret Thatcher, and 'Left of East Gate' by Larry Warren' also detailing the Rendlesham Forest incident, one of the most significant UFO events ever to occur in the UK.

5) Advanced technology using laser holograms to simulate UFO activity, religious visitations, etc., in psychological operations for propaganda or mind control purposes.

I'm open to all of the above. I find it interesting that the recent spiral event in Norway and a video of what appears to be a massive rotating tetrahedron over the Kremlin, took place on the same day - and there is also a fascinating video of a contra-rotating spiral formation in China.

Since this is seems to be a multifaceted and multidimensional phenomenon, taking many different forms, I believe a flexible, open mind is required. If we try to analyse what is going on only on a scientific level, in a rigid, compartmentalised way, I don't think we'll ever understand the totality of it. On a quantum level, what we call 'reality' could in fact be a super-hologram, where sub-atomic particles are energetic vortices in the ether. The 'consensus reality' could potentially change. An increase in UFO sightings in the early part of 2009 in the UK might be related to a mass shift in consciousness, albeit on a subliminal level.

the contrail of the missile is dependent on how the weather was in higher altitudes and the density of the rocket fuel vapor compared to the density of air as well.
