  The only useful thing this device prooves is that you can convert thermal energy into electrical energy.  If the glorified catalytic converter worked at below room temperatures that would be exciting.  Then you wouldnt need any fuel at all.  Below is a link to an implosion engine.  100 percent green.  You pull into a fueling station dump the fertilizer and off you go with some ammonia and water.  Worst case sceanario is when there is an accidental spill of fuel there may be an algae bloom to deal with if it gets into the storm drain system.   http://www.patentstorm.us/patents/3975914/description.html
