Free Energy will change the World - Free Energy will stop Climate Change - Free Energy will give us hope
and we will not surrender until free energy will be enabled all over the world, to power planes, cars, ships and trains.
Free energy will help the poor to become independent of needing expensive fuels.
So all in all Free energy will bring far more peace to the world than any other invention has already brought to the world.

Why do you need gears at all? Maybe a fixed track is better?

Gears make possible precise positioning of magnets in relation to curved metal, and precise repetitions of previous motions of magnets.  The pull of a magnet relates to the inverse of the square of the distance.  The pull of a magnet is four times as much at a distance of .050 of an inch compared to a distance of .100 of an inch.

I believe a mistake of the past is trying to build a permanent magnet motor based on the design and action of an electric motor.  Permanent magnets are different than electromagnets, and a design for a permanent magnet motor that is useful probably will look different than a design for a motor powered by electromagnets.

Since the 1970's inventors have been playing around with permanent magnet motors that are built like electromagnet motors, and you do not see any cars or motorcycles on the streets powered by permanent magnets.  Some will say this is because of politics; the real reason probably is that a practical permanent magnet motor has not yet been built because an inventor has not yet developed a design for a practical permanent magnet motor.  lmzxc

(4-17-2010) After observing the action of the mock-up for the prototype, it seems that we have a design that will work.  The curved metal is on one moving gear, and the magnet is on another moving gear.  Instead of one force counter-balancing the other force resulting in 0 net force, it seems in this case the two forces are moving together, and it seems this will result in a net positive force and rotational movement.

In the pictures the white wire is in the place of where curved metal would be on the finished prototype, and the red wire is in the place of where curved metal would be on the finished prototype.  lmzxc
