SINGLE WIRE JOULE THIEFS

here is a test i just conducted ... 

i took a 12vdc source battery  and a toroide with 20 gage wire on it ...  1 wire .. bout 100 turns .. resistance is 2.5meg ohm ... 

hummmm

i touch it to the pos and neg ... seconds its BURNING HOT ...  AND IF I INTRUPT IT .. I FEEL THE WIRE JUMP IN MY HAND ... 

as well it melts the termnal of the battery ...

intresting after applying engery to it i can now mesure only .2 ohm .. 

odd i will find another the same .. and compair  it apears the reading of the first core is incorrect the second i have in curcuit still and it reads .2 ohm ..

when playing with a mot and takeing mesurements .. the secondary of the mot is 32.2 henry ...  HIGH SELFINDUCTION ...

the primary unmesureable by my meter

so i guess its low self inductance ... lol

so you got a fat wire and a skinny one ..  extreamly diffrent inductances !


my readings are all taken on a TRUE RMS METER !

WHILE HOOKING UP THE MOT TO A 12VDC SOURCE ...

primary only .. dead short .. in essance ... it pulls 18 amp ..

when i configure both as 1 wire .. it consumes 160 ma on a DEAD SHORT..

it ill bite ya if ya touch it ...  lol

now in this config .. you can add 2 switches if you choose .. a POS  one on the SUPPLY .... and then a neg on the return ...

you can hook the mots diffrently aswell run it low volts high amps ..  use 2 mots .. center tap the 2 primaries and feed it 2 3055  lol

so even tho it consumes large amparge .. you have extream voltage out the other end ...  pulse it and collect !
