It is very obvious that the greedy oil companies do not want us to switch to other fuels.  They want us to remain dependant on a fuel, that when utilized, is polluting our world, is expensive and leads to exploding refineries, leaking super tanker ships (like the Exxon Valdez) and epic environmental disasters (like the gulf disaster) in which they set new records for the damage they are able to inflict on our oceanic wildlife and tar strewn oily beaches (that used to be beautiful).  If there was an award given for the greatest polluters on earth, they would surely be the recipients of the greatest polluters the world has ever seen since the beginning of human existence.
 
Anyone who says we can not run our vehicles on water are obviously not part of the solution.  They are indeed part of the problem.  If they are not paid disinformation agents of the oil industry, they most certainly should be.  The video plam40 posted earlier in this thread is just additional evidence that an internal combustion engine can run off of water alone just as Stan Meyer did for four years before he was poisoned to death.  But Meyer and the gentleman in the previously posted video are not the only ones to post videos on the internet of a car running on water.  There are many, many more.  Very few people here have even heard of Bill Williams (for example) who posted a video of his Ford pickup truck (an eight cylinder engine) running on water alone.  Google Bill Williams and find out for yourselves why he quit posting ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!!!!!!

And as far as overloading the alternator goes, Meyer powered his cells directly off of an alternator that was NOT even connected to a battery.  He used two alternators in his system.  Even his demo cell ran off of an alternator without a battery.

I want to thank plam40 for showing us all where to download the most recent example of a car powered by HHO on demand alone.  Thank you for having the balls to speak the truth in the face of complete idiots and paid disinformation agents of the oil industry spreading their propaganda in a place that people should know better.  Thank you, sir.  I stand completely with you.

      A major pollution problem on existing automobiles is nitrogen compounds.  The nitrogen or inert gas in the combustion process is not inert at high temperatures.  The fuel is burnt to raise the temperature of the air induced into the engine.  The oxygen combines with hydrogen in an exothermic reaction and this thermal energy is transferred to the compressed air inside the cylinder.  The nitrogen which is the inert gas of choice because it is free receives the heat and expands driving the cylinder.  Unfortunately nitrogen is not totally inert at high temperatures and pressures and various nitrogen oxygen compounds are formed.  Any engine with air going in the air filter is going to have these pollutants to deal with coming out of the tailpipe.  The internal combustion engine needs to die.  It is close to 200 years and the machine is still doing the same old inefficient conversionn of chemical potential energy into kinetic energy.  We  would be better off drivinng steam driven vehicles with high efficiency propane burners than these stupid air compressors with a spark plug stuck in the cylinder.

He mentions in the video that he is using a "joe cell" which is a version of the Stan Meyers cell.  The one thing I haven't seen is the actual numbers behind the electrolysis of the water.  The reason this isn't main stream is because people believe that the most efficient method for electrolysis is Faraday's which consumes more energy than it would produce.  Now if the "joe cell" takes less energy for electrolysis and allows you to burn the HHO for a net energy gain then that would be something.  What we need is for someone to run the numbers and show that it can be done. 

Once you can split and burn water for a next energy gain, you have a fuel that falls from the sky!
