You missed the point really. Simply that it had a reading of 2 amps is the winner. How to maintain that potential is what we are here for. When I saw that video it started to level off at 1 amp and even that is very impressive. Paralleling 20 of those would make a substantial improvement of their pushing power and increase the amount that a single cell can do by lessening the load sort of. This should be the same process like we have always done. Look at the engine and how we have paralleled the cylinders for increased umph under load.

   It is not usable as is.  If it were anything more than a novelty he would be working on it already, and letting us know.  He is not that interested in production, but on research instead.  I'll ask him what happened to that cell, but it worked like a low farad capacitor that did not hold up. No winner, yet.

  As you seam to think that I've missed your point: 
  The Ib2 cell (copper/mg) lost 1/4 of its power in less than 20 seconds, so it's not showing one amp after one minute, and leveling off as you've mentioned.  Since it is an open and exposed salt electrolyte that absorbs alot of water. It is the salt and water that is allowing it work at that output, at first,  but at the expence of the metals which will be dissolve in a short time. His newer cells are sealed to avoid that, but will not produce the same current, as the more exposed salt cell will.
  Lasersaber was able to obtain 2 amps per carbon rod/ mg cell that possibly can be sustained, especially when the cell is placed in an oil bath.
That is what you might want to look into, as several of those cells can be connected together and be used for his newest project, to light 200 watts of light bulbs through his type of Joule Thief circuit.
  We are trying to work without the use of galvanics.  But without the galvanic reaction only a few mAs have been obtained, as mentioned.
That was my point... although I wish that it were not true.

The point is that he attained a higher current and yes to a slight degree it's a galvanic response. But it is still 2 amps that can be pulsed into a load! Yes it falls quickly but I think that is due to instability in it's formation. Since IB didn't reveal much about the cell we will not know will we?

Its been awhile since I posted here, mostly to due with John Hutchinson is a fake or holding something back with his crystal cells.

The biggest problem with crystal cells is that it takes time to test the cells. What you want is a cell that doesn't corrode the metals, and so far none of my cells have done this. But they can corrode if you don't protect them from the environment and this is why I paint them.

I'm also working on new mixes of crystal cells in hopes to get more power from smaller cells. These new mixes take time to test too.
