Title: EV Conversion Batteries
Post by: Draco Rylos on December 08, 2010, 08:52:22 PM
I don't know if anyone here has been keeping up with the prices for the different types of batteries that are used in converting an ICE to EV. I have been looking at batteries and the ones I've been focused on are the LIFEPO4 (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries. They seem to have gotten a little more affordable for the average converter :) I have a bunch of different sites I've been looking at, and at one point i found 50AH batteries that are pretty reasonably priced. Here are a couple links to different battery sites I've found.

I have read that EV batteries can be very expensive.  Is that true?

Some of the higher amp/hour batteries are more expensive, but it really depends on the vendor that you are getting the batteries from. I see the prices ranging all over the place for a lower A/H batteries. I'm adding another URL to the other two sites I posted in my first post
