At 1% efficency your better off using normal cells and electrolysis

True at the moment, but there is rumor that systems based on it will have efficiency of 19% or more quite soon.

That's very interesting that they say they can get up to 19% efficiency.  There is a thread on another energy forum discussing the supression by the PTB and governments.  With solar apparently they will supress/shelve any solar device that is MORE than 19% efficient.

Boeing is about to co into production of 35% cells and I know one comapny that uses them on mass.
there is no government suppression
Only people in the USA are parinoid about this
In Australia they pay to put a solar system on your roof

I can't remember where I read it, but there seems to be debate on whether to have companies using it to make liquid fuel and just selling it at the pump and on the grid as electricity, or just sticking individual units on our roofs. Personally, I prefer the latter option!
