Title: Graduate Shift in North Pole ?!?!?!?!?
Post by: blueplanet on January 18, 2011, 08:23:50 AM
I notice that, according to my old fashioned compass, the north direction has apparently shifted slightly over the past few months.

Since the Chilean earthquake in July 2010, has anyone monitored the magnetic pole and observed the similar findings?

For example, did you notice that the pointer in your compass has moved approximately 3~4 degree eastwards within these few months?

Since my compass is too old-fashioned, I would not rule out any measurement errors due to some problems in my compass.

By the way, I suspect that the following events are related:

the magnetic pole is always moving. a good top map will have magnetic north and true north
indicated as well as a correction factor for magnetic north over time.

Have you heard about that the sun did rise 2 days too early in Greenland ?

What could that have caused ??

I started monitoring the magnetic north pole in 2007. I did not observe any noticeable change in the north pointer of my compass until the last Chilean earthquake (in July 2010).

Please post your most updated "good top map" so that we understand what's going on.

Two Weeks ago On National News it was reported that the north pole had shifted and it now in russia  http://www.thirdage.com/news/magnetic-north-pole-shifts-russia-affects-airport-runway-navigation_1-7-2011 and is moving at an accelerated  40 miles per year and also this was a sudden change . The pole shift is very iminate and will most like swap in 2012 with the alignment of all the planets in december of that year . Scary but now true . also if the north pole shifted then its south pole shifted as well i would suspect. .
Bend over and kiss your A** goodbye dec 2012 .Major happnings begin http://www.december212012.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=8345

@ stephan your link says the sun rose early because global warming melted glaciers and moved the horizon down.

The idea of pole shift may be part of an oncoming new ice age. These ice ages come at the end of each 11,500 year solar cycle, and we're due for the next one, according to Robert Felix -- see his website www.iceagenow.com

Felix maintains that a polar shift also occurs at this time, triggering all kinds of earthquakes, volcano eruptions and weather chaos.  If I remember correctly, his book, "Magnetic Reversals and Evolutionary Leaps" explains that this is largely due to the changes in the sun affecting the poles (and consequently, the magnetosphere around the earth), with repercussions on the weather, tectonic plates, etc.  You can read about the book here:

British Geological Survey (BGS) says magnetic field reversal may now be in progress.  See:
