Say I build a a big honkin' capacitor, I have a few questions about what to do then...
1) How can I measure the capacitor?
2) How can I charge the beast?
3) How can I discharge it in a way that would be useful as a battery for a small motor. Is it as easy as hooking up the motor, and it will draw what it needs?
4) During the design phase, can you design for low voltage, high amperage? If so how?
BTW, I have a healthy respect for electricity, starting with the older brother asking me to help him (I was maybe 7) with the lawnmower by holding the spark plug wire while he pulled the cord, to most recently (45+ years later) working on a water system and putting my hand into 110 vac energized water due to a faulty float switch (did I mention I was barefoot on a wet concrete floor).
Capacitors are measured in Farads, One Farad is one Coulomb which is 6.241 x10^18 electrons
One coulomb equals one amp at one volt
For your other questions you should read wikipedia :) Also please use extreme caution with capacitors, especially large ones, they can retain charges for very long times.
