Title: Homopolar calculations
Post by: Sol on February 23, 2012, 02:19:32 PM
Hi everyone I'm new to posting on this forum, though I've been reading it for a little while. Anyways...

I was wondering if anyone knew, or knows where to find information on the calculation of mechanical torque from a homopolar motor. Also how to calculate how fast a homopolar motor will spin based off a given current/voltage in regards to the size of the disc. I'm just looking for general formulas.
   Thanks :)

Welcome for new user.. ;D

This is a motor ompolare very simple:

Usually the speed of rotation depends on the power and the load
there is no speed limit
Thanks
