I too have the Hendershot build plans but have yet to attempt it. The plans appear complete and I wonder if anyone else on this forum has followed the directions and built this device?
I'm not quite ready to put it together but will follow, with great interest, your progress and though I don't live in the Lonestar State, would thouroughly enjoy being involved in this. PM me if I can help.

Unrelated but here is an old Bedini Monopole Test I did May 25th 2011.

Pardon the mess but here's my latest blind squirrel build...
Used an aluminum bell shaped solar light (canopy only) and wound it with 4 strand litz wire then added a roughly made pancake coil (same litz wire) on the large side of the bell. Reed switches power the drive ckt and I dump collected power into a large electyrolitic cap for return via red switch, +/- 60 degrees from the drive reed. Nothing much to report yet since I just wired it all up late yesterday. Bell shape comes from working with Adam's style coils and the addition of the pancake is, well, an afterthought. Using 12V to drive at present but voltages will also be toyed with to determin if this little monster has a sweet spot.
Two of the litz wires for drive and two to test with gives enough variations to keep me busy while purusing this site for the ultimate FE build.
If this arrangement holds any promise I'll shift over to the Bedini ckt but keep the reeds for timing purposes. I just like the absolute control we get over our pulses, not to mention the allure of the arc inside the reed.
