I like wireless power transmission systems. They are simple and can be made very efficient if you know your target and environment, like the bus over the embedded coils. I've considered using sections of guardrails to form most of the transmitting antenna loop, so that the receiving car would be inside the loop rather than above it, and installation wouldn't require ripping up existing roadways. There is no shock hazard from the transmitting antenna/coil if it is done properly.
It would probably wipe out AM radio reception in the car, though. So no more Rush while rushing to work....
