Physicists have discovered a jewel-like geometric object that dramatically simplifies calculations of particle interactions and challenges the notion that space and time are fundamental components of reality.
The amplituhedron, or a similar geometric object, could help by removing two deeply rooted principles of physics: locality and unitarity.
Locality is the notion that particles can interact only from adjoining positions in space and time. And unitarity holds that the probabilities of all possible outcomes of a quantum mechanical interaction must add up to one. The concepts are the central pillars of quantum field theory in its original form, but in certain situations involving gravity, both break down, suggesting neither is a fundamental aspect of nature.
In keeping with this idea, the new geometric approach to particle interactions removes locality and unitarity from its starting assumptions. The amplituhedron is not built out of space-time and probabilities; these properties merely arise as consequences of the jewel's geometry. The usual picture of space and time, and particles moving around in them, is a construct.

Guys, this is really important... thoughts welcome...
I think this shows that Quantum Field Theory, Space-time, Unitarity, and Locality are *emergent* properties over a higher-order mathematical structure.
This is really good academic evidence to show the standard model of physics is wrong wrong wrong. The 'particles' we talk about are just a cognitive short-cut, and probably are actually just artifacts.

Well it doesn't take the "amplituhedron" to figure that out. For all we actually, really, and truly understand, our universe could be but one of many daydreams in the eternal mind of God.
What's next? Caged atoms, struggling to get out of their "mirror oven" created prisons?

Oops, already been done.
As Pandora's box opens, the stale odor of Schrodinger's long dead cat hangs in the air gentlemen.....
Perhaps it was put in there so long ago for being too curious in the first place?
It seems the physicists are at last starting build mathematical models that break out of the 'dismal reality' that inevitably accompanies standard physics.
I've known for a while (via experimentation on the effect of consciousness (cause) on space and time (apparent effect) that we cannot truly separate out the notion of 'observer' and 'event' that standard physics holds dear.
At the same time standard physics does have exquisite predictive power and IS totally real for those that believe in it. Now, most 'free energy' seekers profess not to believe in standard physics, but it is obvious that they have not made the conceptual leap that is required to get beyond it.
The only way forward is to actually change the nature of ones consciousness and reality will bend nicely to adapt. It's not a message than many are prepared to hear or even remotely understand though.

Seems you and this guy have walked parallel paths!

He too was able, through experimentation, to observe the inner workings of the matrix.
