Now that we know that's possible, apply it to a steam turbine/engine.
Need more sun? Use mirrors and reflect it...
Maybe even throw in a magnyfying glass to concentrate all the sunlight to one point

Good luck have fun!

Thank you for replying, but i want people to know that this project is very simple, do not get discouraged.
You do NOT have to complicate it..

splifey, please neither subestimate the creation capacity from your reader nor under-estimate the creativity from the youth !
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugend_forscht (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jugend_forscht)

Redrock shows you and us in geral solutions but show us also that our sun is moving so that a solar tracking is needed for maximal system efficiency gains and amortisation !

1./2./3. world machine and material orientated !

Did you thought about this before you reed -if you reed - the redrock-page ?

Inside also focus/mirror/concentrator-2-sterling and other low temperature-heat converter ! But you know this when you have read it !

And: a young girl(+/- 14-15 years old -I do actually not know her exactly  age -developed a 10US$ construction costs solar- tracker ( google or other search machines show more)

Sincerely

Here, splifey, many solutions from an south-korean inventor from which I first reed more then twenty years before in an article from the german weekly economics magazin about inventors and the Inventor-Expo IENA in Nuernberg/Bavaria/Germany :

he presented theretime a waterlense with a focussing factor 1000X and for a production price up to 100X cheaper then equivalent glas-lenses !

Shin Yuk Kyun

In a short overlook I hoped to refind the waterlense publication but then  I recognized him as a creativity-a-holic( positively meaning) and I also would refer many other ideas from him !
( but behind this name can be several humans like Mr.Smith(Schmidt) or over the time ! Name constellation re-born )

principle working :
