Title: Magnet Wire Talk!
Post by: TheOne on February 06, 2014, 08:52:48 PM
I am designing my MEG, so one thing I want is to generate low voltage (14 volts) with higher amperage.

When it come to magnet wire (copper), 8 AWG (3.25mm diameter) wire cost quite a lot and I am sure it will be too small anyway, so what about aluminum magnet wire?

What I read about them, they are not so bad, the important thing about them is the connection, they seam to cost less and I can
buy some with 8mm diameter! So what about this kind of wire? any comment?
