Title: Where could I find stock plastic(non-metal) helical gears?
Post by: nwman on March 03, 2014, 03:59:09 PM
Thanks for reading.

I'm looking for a source of plastic(non-metal) helical gears. Does anyone know of a source? I just don't want to pay $500+ for custom ones.

It would be nice just to have a catalog to just pick matching gears for my prototype verses having to engineer everything.

Ideally it would be great to find clear (acrylic) ones but I think that might be asking too much.

The size range I'm looking for are 4" diam. and smaller. Ultimately I'm going to put bearing in them so if you know of a good source of one-way and regular bearing that would be welcomed too.

If I have to spend too much I'll just buy a 3d printer. Ha.

Thanks!

Here's a source for stock Delrin helical gears in sizes up to 4" OD (10 to 180 teeth).
