Hey, guys
Quite a few ideas for overunity require slightly... unconventional materials. Like magnetic monopoles. Well, I'm pretty sure I've thought of how to make one.
Take two regular magnets.
Join them S-S or N-N. You'll then have North or South poles at each end.
If this doesn't work for some reason, I'm pretty sure I read that magnetic fields could be redirected (the principle behind the Faraday cage?). So, redirect the field somewhere external to the "useful" poles. For example, redirect it down an axle.
I'm something of a newbie to this sort of stuff; just messing about at home with some mathematical anomalies I've found. So if it wouldn't work, just feel free to tell me why.
Thx!
Hi,
It won't really be a monopole. The 2 same fields that are pushed together are powerfully forced out at the joining point. And also the magnet will be dead in no time. Forcefully forcing equal poles together will "deplete" the magnets in a couple of days. The field from say the north pole of the magnet will always find it's way to the south pole.
Ah, well. Another good-ish idea come and gone... ;D
Thanks for the info!
