In practice, the drive is powered by a generator which, with an internal mechanism very particular (looks like a flag flying) converts the wind energy by exploiting the transfer of electrical charges between different materials.

According to the Korean researchers this system, mounted on the roof of a car (would be the size of 7.5 cm to 5) could produce an amount of energy equal to 0.86 megawatts.

"Transforming the air in energy - the researchers explain - is a mechanism very simple and cheap, based on a kind of 'flag' obtained from a flexible material similar to a cloth, coated with a thin metal layer. Agitated by wind, flag bumps against a hard surface, of a metal of a different type: it is this movement, through the rubbing, to cause the transfer of electric charges ".

It 's more or less the same principle of operation of this wind generator:

with a canopy of solar nanoantennas 2 square meters, that also work at night, you can add 1,600 watts ...

Biuld this vehicle with aerodinamic shape, longer chassis and more solar panels.
Less cost/ traveller per 100km distance.

One truck has enough place on roof for a lot of solar panels.
