Title: Need help/suggestions for project
Post by: Spirit on November 21, 2014, 10:52:36 PM
Hello,
I have posted this project on another thread but I figure I better make a new topic for this.
I want to build a gravity machine based off of Skinner's ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxIRaJlTD4Y ) and The John device ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-KVo4lxHgE ). But I think it's more of a skinner though. they are both very similar.

I believe the difference between these two is that Skinner's weight is attached independently from the main shaft and spins freely. the weight is not attached to the shafted and does not spin with it. the weight only falls or follows the shaft's direction. hard to explain for me.

While the john device the weight is attached to the shaft and spins with the shaft as an attached member. it is like its all one piece.

amyway watch this this video too at 9:45 minutes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeOIGV294PM#t=585

All i ask is suggestions for parts and materials to build this thing on a budget. i cant spend too much on fancy stuff at all, just enough on what works.

I want to use a weight of 100 pounds for this project.
so what would be a good alternator, small electric motor, battery, etc. for a weight of 100 pounds?
Also i don't want my battery or batteries to overcharge...suggestions?

Someone already made suggestions on this at the other thread but I'd like to hear more suggestions from others as well.

See attached image to this post for the project.

Thank you all.
