Scientist are working on a membrane to harvest hydrogen. I think we need more information anyone have a copy of the actual peer reviewed article and what is the energy cost of harvesting hydrogen. http://rt.com/news/209555-graphene-hydrogen-discovery-fuel/

One can catalyze hydrogen rather inexpensively by producing Graphene in a cheap LighScribe DVD drive, cutting strips, soaking strips in distilled water with nickel plates for the purpose of electroplating the Graphene with nickel ions. Then one can produce hydrogen quite inexpensively.....

Compare the output from a 1.5v AAA battery as shown, to the high voltage setups of the past.

Graphenes assymetry perfect for karpen-type emf
Nice find @techstuf I wonder how long the 1.5v battery lasts and how many moles of hydrogen per joule is created.
The fact that it produces hydrogen bubbles visually at that voltage is significant. Also, check out what they're doing with 'Hemp Bast'....
Man is a late comer to the Nano materials game.
