Hi all, I need some help here, constructive criticism welcome, thanks!
I am not an electronics professor so any aide from the more educated members of this forum would be much appreciated. ;)
Have a look at this http://www.windmaster.co.za/product-videos.htm (http://www.windmaster.co.za/product-videos.htm)
Now thats a lot of movement from a device that has a 300mm diameter! Also ,this design uses corrugated galvanised iron that has a long lifespan.
By securing neodymium magnets far enough from the wind turbine blades so as not to create drag on the bearing, would this design create enough energy to charge a battery? The wind turbine would be mounted on a 6m high pole to capture higher winds and coils would be mounted on the pole to capture the energy from the neos as they pass by. So, here is the tricky bit......what size air coils, wire type, windings and magnets would you mount and where? Perhaps charging a battery with an A.C Bendini charger would be a better option? N52 Neos 20mmx50mm should create a strong enough pulse to charge the batteries?
Thanks, let me know what you think!
