Hi guys. I am going to bid in an auction on a box of old Electron tubes, and i remembered that Eric Dollard said that he use vacuum tubes in his experiments, and that it become harder and harder for him to do his work becouse of that the tubes are so hard to come by now days. Correct me if im wrong.
I was only going to ask if there is any point in getting these, and what they can be used for, other then repairing old tv sets from the 50-60's?
It rather depends on what exactly the tubes are, don't you think? There's a big difference between, say, an 811A and a 6v6. Or between a 3CX3000A7 and a 12ax7.
As far as what Eric Dollard _says_... sure, that's right, that's what he said, you aren't wrong. There are all kinds of reasons why Eric Dollard finds it hard to do his work these days.
