Mohamed Ali passed away last night. Beside being The Greatest Boxer Of All Time, he was a diplomat, comedian, and an all around great human being.
He was born and raised in Louisville, KY and went on to be world famous and the best ever at his sport.
He will be missed.

But he wasn't OU.
he was all about UNITY
"me we" - Muhammed Ali , the guiness record as the shortest poem
memoryman
he may not have been OU... but this quote rings true .
Mohamed Ali
Quote
"Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."
end quote
I believe Mr. Ali walked that walk !
He was a great man.
His death has nothing to do with this forum.

I beg to differ Sir.

Bill, it has NOTHING to do with energy, specifically OU.
It is general news, not related to this forum.

But that is why there is a general NEWS section...that is what it is for.

And Moderators would know this [no so much mere mortals ;D
Thanks Bill
also RE the Open Pipe you mentioned on my build..
I would never run it that way ,however the guy who bought it most likely will ::)
I know that is not OU stuff either so I'll be quite now ....
Do you really think that the regular news channels did not cover this?
No, not when I posted it. It had just hit the wire and I thought some folks here might like to know. Hours later...it was on every news site out there so...I guess I could have just let folks here wait and hear/read about it elsewhere.

Ah, but he was! The "Louisville Lip" was the epitome
of OverUnity in the Flesh. I agree with Pirate and the
others who recognize his uniqueness and his greatness.
He is missed. His heart was very large.
Yes he was an awesome individual who I followed from his earliest fights and always cheered for him. I was very lucky to meet him in person one time at some small event held at a shopping mall. Very few people surprisingly were there. I walked up and shook hands with him and told him I was a fan of his from early on. A minute later a black lady showed up holding a baby. He walked over - scrunched up his face a bit and blurted out 'Ugly baby' - LOL - he didn't censor his thoughts like most of us do (which is really a form of lying) and I think that was one of his neat and unique qualities. You will be missed Muhammad Ali !
