Title: Inexhaustible Power Source ? Detailed PDF available
Post by: e2matrix on February 26, 2018, 07:45:08 PM
Found this in a link showing the apparent device in a 9 second youtube here:

The PDF reads somewhat like a patent and includes detailed math calculations and color pictures/drawings of the device.

It seems someone has spent a lot of time working this all out.   Bottom line - it is powered by magnets at an angle in a different sort of circular setup.

Not really.

The angled magnet thing was researched and even patented by Kohei Minato years ago. It didn't make his motors perpetual or inexhaustible either. The failed Irish OU claimants Steorn also used similar angled magnets in their "Kinetica" demonstrator, which also failed miserably. (But they were able to burn through something like 24 million Euro before folding up their tent.)

There is some nice machine work in that apparatus, but it basically is a heavy flywheel on good bearings. My old magnet motor testbed would turn for an hour with just a slight manual starting push.

If it really worked, it wouldn't need a manual spin to start, it would just start from a standing stop, very slowly at first, then continuing to accelerate until it flew apart (or accumulated bearing friction and windage kept it from accelerating further.)

An 8 second video isn't enough for me to suspend disbelief. Let's see it start, accelerate, power a little load like maybe a fan blade or model airplane propeller, and keep on running at a constant speed for a reasonable time.

If you look at the force lines with respect to the outer ring
it is somewhat reminiscent of the David Hammel
Which Clanzer build an "almost perpetual" set up
by using the curvature of a bowl

He shows the principal on his YouTube channel
Large wooden wheel with a partial array and a rectangle magnet

Without trying it, I can't really comment on anything useful
but he seems to have invested a lot of energy experimenting
with this arrangement.

maybe I'll cut some ceramics into this shape of his
I'll have a bunch with no use in the near future

My main concern is the symmetry
however the shape leaves some details unknown until I can
hold one in my hands

Hi TK,

Isn't this already overunity? A slight push turning something for an hour sounds overunity.

Nope, just good bearings and inertia.
