I think the problem is the same as it always was. The big wigs control everything, and have for some time now. Nothing new comes about unless they allow it, just like no one gets rich now days unless they allow it, the game has been rigged for a long time now. Kind of like nothing you say online is secret anymore, at least from those in charge. More money is made on saying we are looking for alternative energy then actually finding it. However if you find an alternative energy source that needs a lot of workers, provides a lot of jobs, and requires a lot of maintenance, then they will allow that. Just like all those corporations who get funding to find some cure to some disease, they are making more on looking for it and their funding would stop if they found it. So as they say it will never be found. Its cold and cruel in my opinion giving how much suffering such things could alleviate but the big wigs dont see it like that. They see it like the more money flowing and exchanging hands, thats what they think is better for everyone, or at least better for them anyway since most of the wealthy got their money from the hands of the poor. So the name of the game is keep it all flowing, never let it add up in the hands of the poor, but keep it all going to the rich to make them richer. And the richer they have got, and the more control they have got over almost everything now days. Everything is made now days to consume a set amount of power, everything is made to wear out and break, so you need to go buy another putting more money in the pockets of the rich. Personally I think if we just advanced full steam, made things that actually lasted, and cured our worlds problems and diseases we all would be better off. But the wealthy in charge just dont see it like that. To them its all about what keeps more money flowing into their hands regardless of the hard ship or suffering it causes others. Thats the real world we live in right there in a nutshell as it were.
