Title: Magnet wire coil information needed
Post by: magnetman12003 on July 20, 2019, 12:10:24 AM
I have a 3.3  lb coil of magnet wire.  The resistance between the two coil leads is 1,668 ohms.
What AWG gauge magnet wire is used inside and how many feet?  Appreciate any help with detailed info. Is there a online calculator I can use?

(https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/wire-resistance) (https://www.omnicalculator.com/physics/wire-resistance) you need length or guess it by weight or just measure diameter

Drop a N52 sphere magnet inside the coil and let it bounce around. You can light up a small 3.5 volt led bulb at the two wire output.
