There seem to be plans now to connect the gas from Spain to Germany, Could it result in higher gas bills for Spaniards ?
I wonder if it will also involve increasing the gas pressure ( or speed ) to cater for the massive increase in customers. If it is possible to increase the gas pressure ( or speed ), then could that increase in gas pressure ( or speed ) be equal to ( = ) the amount of additional customers ?
If the gas pressure ( or speed ) can not be increased, then you would think that the same amount of gas shared between much much more customers would result in higher gas bills for Spaniards.
( Also, by sharing that gas link, could any other factors result in higher gas bills for Spaniards )
The gas for 40 million Spaniards will be shared with 80 million Germans. The pressure will drop to one third. The Spaniards will have to turn up their gas burners three times as high than before. Resulting in a three times increase of their gas bill.
The gas bill for the Germans will be equally high. So, there is justice for all.
Justice in Europe means peace. You should be prepared to pay a high price for freedom and peace.
But it is much warmer in Spain than in Germany, therefor the Spaniards might be able to turn down their gas burners a little more than the Germans.
According to Worldometers, Spain runs a large deficit:
