the reason it this device was not used for wind power production commercially is that
area of the wind turbine is important for efficient energy production .
That is why blades of propeller are so big.
Another reason is that wind randomly blowing , if conflicted by side wind flow makes less flow into the device
called in that video Darwin "chimney." turbine or whatever.
There is also a reason why some English man on that YouTube didn't use two blowers
one in front of the device blowing on it and another one just 180 degrees( or in the straight horizontally line) but placed right from opposite side sucking
that air from the first fan and blowing it blowing in the same direction.
To easier understand it:The device from video is called : "Darwin Wind Turbine"
Let's place two fans in straight line and both of them are blowing air in one direction.
and place the "Darwin Wind Turbine" in the middle.
So one fan will be blowing at "Darwin Wind Turbine" and the other one will be sucking from "Darwin Wind Turbine"
This will be simulation of wind blowing in one direction .
Now measure amount of wind in the "Darwin Wind Turbine" with the second fan On and than Off.
and than try to color this air flow with some dust so you can see it.
One factor is important -the blower propeller should be ~6 time larger than the "Darwin Wind Turbine"
Traditional Turbine redirects itself into the changing wind.

there is a reason why such a "Darwin Wind Turbine" was not used in mining to deliver air to the shaft.
And it is not that air will not flow there, it will,
but from aerodynamic standpoint:
