Above is one of Prof. A.E. Dolbear's wireless energy transfer patents
This one was employed by Edison to form a wireless electricity grid
Large antennas would collect and convert the resonant carrier wave
then short, local wires went from the towers to the surrounding buildings


A single transmission station could provide power to several antennas within a 1-mile radius
