Title: A new way of generating electricity
Post by: klaudio on February 18, 2007, 10:59:43 PM
Hi,
My name is Claudio Bianco. I am an inventor, and have just completed my last work called "Continual Wind-Up", with which I take advantage of water oscillations to wind up a cord, and thus generate electricity.
I believe to have opened a new research field for renewable energy, but since I am the father of this invention, my opinion does not matter.
I chose to use internet to make the invention known and I would appreciate your opinion.I would therefore like to invite you to discover a
new way of generating electricity without polluting on www.cuerdacontinua.com

Hello Claudio:

I understand you are Spanish. I think your post should be in the ocean wave generation section. I think your invention is very clever but I wonder if you have an actual test system for real ocean conditions.

Anyway, you could contact Freeenergynews.com as they are always in the disposition for reviewing and testing new alternative energy sources.

I undesrtand from your website that one of your conceptual inventions is a gravity wheel, that sounds interesting, but I wonder if you have a working proof of concept.

Thanks for sharing your inventions here.

Regards.

klaudio, the mixed media presentation of your material is very pleasing to the senses and I wish you continued success.

Very nice work! Congratulations!

Now, I hope I will not disappoint you but there is a slight error on the work calculus and consequently on energy excess. Indeed, it would take probably 2,18 kWh (not kW/h) to inflate the bell but this would happen only if you have a continuous source of compressed air at the required pressure. Since such a source is not available in the environment, you have to compress the air. This process consumes energy and part of the work will be lost as heat, even for an ideal pump. The whole process is energetically balanced, considering the ideal case (no friction, no other loses etc).

However, there is hope. If you do the math, you will find a way to overcome these issues, taking enough energy from the environment. I know, because I was there...
I am curious if you can identify the same solution which I have to say I identified and pursued strictly theoretically. In principle, a practical machine can be made functional, although the efficiency would be quite low.
Again, great work!

Take a look at this video

http://www.micropixel.biz/veljkomilkovic/videos/Veljko_Milkovic_(video-5)_Laboratory_pump.wmv (http://www.micropixel.biz/veljkomilkovic/videos/Veljko_Milkovic_(video-5)_Laboratory_pump.wmv)  if you hook this up to your device and use a coil and glue a magnet onto the pendelum to keep it moving with the electricity you are generating you may then get it to self run.

You will need a little switch to trigger the pulse to the electric coil.

Salve a tutti...

@klaudio:
Very documented and serious work (IMO). Thanks.

@TESLA 1961
It was your first post.
You were using upper case letters and an insulting word.
Carry on this way and I guess that you soon will get a lot of friends in this Forum.

Best

This idea deffitly has potential ,  atleast how i see it.
A few miles from shore... on see ocean you add the wheel + the self windup thingy...
The part he now lift with his hand.... attach a rope to it and something that floats on the ocean.. then when a wave comes ... the floating thing pulls the thing up from the bottom... and when the wave go away.. it fall.. and then it wind up......
Verry clever... absolutely has potential.. a open mind can see this works.Perhaps economicly not worth... however it will work.

About forty years ago, one of the major monthly tech magazines (Mechanics Illustrated or similar) had a cover story of energy from the ocean.  This would have used a 300 foot diameter fan immersed in the Gulf Stream off Florida.  These are not difficult to build in drydock and float out to a location, as that is done for drilling platforms that size now.  The four knot current would turn this turbine at slow RPMs so that edge gears drove generators.  A few thousand megawatts could be extracted from the ocean current by a couple of these units.  The current is driven by the turning earth, and the difference in temperatures of ocean water at North and equatorial waters of the Atlantic.  The fans are non-poluting, cheap to operate, almost invisible, and take up no land area (NIMBY not a problem).  This would solve all electric energy generation and future fuel needs in the USA.  And so what if the British Isles and most of Europe would go into a deep freeze because of a change in the current?

This device should be made bi-directional: that way it will generate 2 times more energy. Idea is actually good. Of course the structure should be optimized because in its current form it has a lot of friction going on.

Hey Claudio,
That is a very nice website you have there. I am no engineer, mechanical or electrical, but I get by. I think that generator that uses the waves is a great idea! The concept is so simple and straight forward. It is usually the simplest ideas that make a largest difference. That's what I'm banking on to help me invent something. I'm not an engineer or physicist. Sometimes people invent great things because they didn't know they "couldn't" do it and someone else figures out the science behind it :-)
So, don't let people tell you that you "can't" because "it won't work." It seems like a wonderful idea and I wish you the best of luck in using it to change to world.
