Title: Saltwater lightbulb ? Just a simple trick ?
Post by: hartiberlin on March 10, 2007, 03:54:09 AM
Hi,
how is he doing that:

Is this just powered via a remote transmitter or does it really just use saltwater with some
electrodes ?

This is a salt water rheostat, I think.  I made one with a 'carbon-arc furnace' back in the late 70's.

Watch his left had as he completes pouring the salt.  He is holding the power cord.  See the right side wire in the jar as he pours; there is only one wire.  Two wires can be seen after he releases the cord.

Are you testing us, Stefan?   :D
