"Today,in addition to receiving a patent( really?),
Mr. McQueen has built a prototype machine for testing and evaluation."

With the contact possibilities from the "professorgq"-site:
somebody could call/mail to Mr. McQueen and invite to poste a video
or to demonstrate -live,in Berlin/DE, the concept to receive the OU-prize !?

I don't see how this would work to be honest.  Alternators, just like all present electric generators are affected by back torque (back emf - the stator coils try to make the rotor coil stop spinning).  So if you hooked a motor up to an alternator, and got it started, back EMF would induce a stopping torque on the alternator's axial, decreasing the electric energy, which reduces the speed of the motor, which causes the entire thing to come to a halt.  The inverters are nothing more than diodes and maybe a filtering capacitor - I don't see these adding anything.

In order to get something like this working, you would need an alternator/generator that did not suffer from Lorentz forces (back EMF).  Although I have some theories on how to do this, so far, I don't think the back torque problem has been solved.

I'm really surprised that the patent office granted this patent since they stopped giving "perpetual motion" patents like 100 years ago.  Is it me or do they seem to be getting really lax lately.  Almost like they just don't care anymore.

 if you use pm alternator
very little bemf

i too like Charlie_V  cant belive they granted him one
all of what he uses is off the  shelf  and public domain  ;D

I do not see any problems that a new patent could exist based by common parts !

Is it not the true that for example there had been the advice to not cover a magnet
with an electric coil, cause the risc of de-magnetization ?
But is it not also the true that there are coil-covered-magnets to buy ?

There is also a difference between the US-patent-office and the german-patent-office
behaviour, in Germany you only can receive the monopol-rights after the testing
of a functional prototype and an eventually "new technical standart" evaluation !
Only "publication/comming out" never means to have received these rights !

hay bailers .... the first patent is a design patent... bail some hay any one can get one just pay for it and the patent lawyer who screws you for getting it

I am using Laplace-logic: Das Gesetz der Wahrscheinlichkeit (Monte-Carlo-Process)
and transform this into the physical matrix to reach reality :
physical "approved reality " are these concepts:
Walge: ic-motor/gear/generator   and
Thoene: magnet motor .
I want to reach I(nput)U(nder)O(utput)U(nity) !
The generator conversion will be ever under 100% efficiency, also when C.O.P.? 1 !
From logical view only the motoric/transmitive process led reach this exspectation !

Well I would have to have a working model in front of me to buy that one. All he is doing is removing the gas motor of a generator and replacing it with an electric one. with an alternator at 80% eff and a motor at 80% eff and subtracting frictional loses, and electrical resistance in wire loses at best it could be 50% eff and therefore not able to self sustain. I find it hard to believe he got a patent without a prototype, the patent inspector should have tosed it out and told him to come back with a prototype.

i too would like to see a video of a working model.
i too will build one in the back yard have 3/4 of the parts  now
will post back later
