I was able to obtain some decent electrodes consisting of only two tubes for positive and negative. I also bought this and assembled it:

It's a Pulse Wave generator. So I got my cell, and I put it in plain tap water and hooked up the Generator, then I hooked it up to my power source, which is a simple battery charger for a motorcycle. It's got 6v/6amp, 12v/2amp, and 12v/6amp settings. I set it to 12v/2amp. I turned the thing on expecting to be disappointed, and BAM, I got a TON of bubbles. It was boiling like water boils when you cook it. Thing is, it does the same thing even without the pulse wave generator. So I don't think the generator works, and I'm not sure how to tell if it does or not. I recorded my experiment, and will put it up as soon as I figure out how to transfer video from my videocamera to my pc. How do I know if the Pulse Wave Generator is working? I'm not too up and up on electronics yet, but am willing to learn.
