This is my original reference. The main guy Patrick Kelly over at Paneca left on bad terms, took his links with him. Looks like Panacea was acting improperly.
Kelly.... he's the man. Kudos

test,just want a link to back here.triffid
Ditto link to post and bump for the importance of more efficient batteries.
I wish this weren't radioactive and didn't need lead sheilding.
Just curious, somebody working / replicating this, if not, why?
Let me know.
Would love to take on yet Another project! Problem.. Another! Too many already! lol Anyone else working on this?

I am intrigued this.
It alledgedly works on the fact that many elements in nature can absorb energy at one frequency and re-emit energy at a different frequency often at an over unity gain.
Reading thru the patent it sounds like the process is:
1) Charge tube with 300Mhz RF field for 15-30 seconds. (wattage unknown but in the 1950's UHF power was still pretty low)
2) After absorbing the RF energy, one of the compounds in the mixture changes state (probably the Cobalt) and becomes radioactive for about an hour.
3) During this period of radioactivity one of the compounds in the mixture (probably the cadmium) absorbs some of the radiation and down converts into IR energy (heat)
4) This excess heat drives the crude thermocouple in the tube producing our coveted D.C. current.
Sounds good so far, but I am not holding my breath.
It wouldn't cost very much to try, I think. As long as the NRC doesn't get involved. Its hard to put the genie back in the bottle sometimes.
There was a boy scout in michigan a few years back who was determined to solve America's energy crisis. They say his shed in the backyard glowed at night.

1) cobalt(II) nitrate hexahydrate
2) cadmium chloride
3) 3Ca (Po3)2 + 10C The formula looks incomplete.
WHAT IS THE THIRD ELEMENT???????
Go to Chapter VI in this book and read down a few pages and all will be revealed.

Is this the page You'r talking about?
The chapter starts several pages above that page and explains all you need to know.
So The Third Element is Phosphorus or Im missing something here?
different textbook
Thanks for recipe
So the third element is calcium metaphosphate mixed with corcoal and burned to red hot in air less envirenment?
Or is it just Phosphorus?
