Title: New to the forums, hello all...
Post by: 62ndApe on July 27, 2007, 12:16:01 AM
Hello, I am relatively new to researching alternative energies. There is in fact a lot of over-hyped, or completely fraudulent technology out there on the net. Still, there is also very real, extremely simple technology too. Is there a definitive list of what is real and fake? I thought I would ask some people here that know more than myself in a relevant forum. I am very interested in some of the possibilities out there.

Heya 62ndApe.

I'm kinda newish here myself.  I don't know of a list of what's real and fake.  I think people have to make up their own minds about what fits into those categories.  Having said that, I reckon this is the real deal - http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,833.0.html (http://www.overunity.com/index.php/topic,833.0.html).  But I wouldn't bet my life on it ;D. (Actually, not sure if the thread will make sense now as it got pretty heavily edited at one point).

About this website in particular, I see it more as a forum for actual experimenters.  Even though there's a lot of other interesting stuff going on too, most people here seem to have an interest in actually using their knowledge and experience to achieve or help achieve 'overunity' in some form or other.  I could be wrong about that, but that's how I see it.  With that in mind, maybe you should just read around and see if there are any avenues of research that fit in with your particular expertise or ability or specific interest, and see what you can do.  Or, if you're like me, you can just try and stay out of the way and read about other peoples adventures.  Sometimes it's like watching history unfold.

Les.

Depends upon what you call real and fake.

This site covers a pretty broad spectrum of ideas.

To make a long story short, I don't know of any technology anywhere, including on this site, that is 100% verified, documented, and replicated  "overunity", or "perpetual motion".

In my opinion there are things on this site that are showing great promise, but there is nothing here that I am aware of that you could actually buy today that would fit the above definition.

Also my opinion - if you are looking for real, hands on technology to use today to help with your energy cost, you are looking for solar or wind type equipment.  There are also many ways to reduce consumption such as insulation, compact flourescent bulbs, etc.  Newer HVAC equipment is also much more efficient than older equipment.

If you are looking for a black box that will produce power from nothing, I don't think you fill find it here or any other place right now.  There are lots of people talking about it, but I don't think anybody can show you the real deal.

p.s.  I agree with lwh that the hildenbrand motor (see the link in lwh's post) is probably one of the more promising ideas here.
