I'm glad the moon is not out?

My 6 inch reflector telescope is 30 years old, the mirrors need to be re-silvered. It has a 48 inch focal length.

They said expect 60 an hour, I saw 3 in 4 hours. Damn things burned up before I could shoot them. I don't have a telescopic lens, I'm just hoping for 3 or 4 meteors in one photo. The chemclouds are moving in tonight (Sunday now) probably won't see anything at all.

I had a good view of Perseids from my back yard here in the midlands uk, average 1 meteor per minute.

4 especially were spectacular, 3 with very long bright trails and I thought I heard a hiss from 2 of them but probably imagination, number 4 seemed to break up just before it vanished, sparks and all.
