:-\ Umm....this guy simply modified an already existing technology. It's a modified "gyro-copter".

The rotor acts like a parachute and provides lift while the rear propeller provides forward propulsion.
There was even a version of it on a James Bond [007] movie. My dad used to have one, years ago. He never actually flew in it, but just taxied up and down the runway. He sold it to a guy who actually flew it and the rotor came off and cut the guy's head off.
Anyway......one thought about having the general public fly these on a regular basis.......Just think of all the idiots you encounter on an average day of driving in traffic. Now imagine those same people flying overhead.... ::) Makes my knees twitch just thinking about it.
Maneuvering around power lines and windy weather would be interesting , especially near populated areas. Try to land near your local shopping center could be a challenge.
But I?d bet this would be a lot of fun to fly, (or drive?) around the open country in fair weather.
Yes, probably much too dangerous for the "average Joe",
but pretty interesting for the professionals who know how to fly
and do it near power lines...
;) ;D
Which way to the bunker. Same feelings about flying cars too. To the bunker James.

This is nothing but an autogyro, invented by Juan de la Cierva in the 1920s. Long before the first helicopter flew; but the motorcycle part is neat!
