The Magneto Caloric Effect (MCE) IS indeed overunity?

I suspect that they could just be lieing in order to not be passed off as a "free energy" claimer
A question that I've asked more then once before at steorns forums, and never got an awnser to is: is the MCE constant, or does the piece of metal in the field cool down over time while it's still in the feild? If it's constantly hot then it will constantly give out heat won't it?
I have something to ask if how does it works?

Yes, and two units. One to provide the heat and one for cooling, then just switch back and forth.
This is in no way overunity. It's a simple cycled heat exchange effect that has been used for near 0K cooling for decades and it's called adiabatic demagnetization. Apparently the fuzz here is using it for consumer products, but just because it doesn't necessarily need electricity doesn't mean it won't need any kind of energy to run. Hooking up stirling engine on it won't do you much good.

Actually the "fuzz" is that it's a new metal alloy that is much cheaper and more efficient than the expensive alloys used for decades.
At this time it's as efficient as current freon coolers using electro magnets so using permanent magnets would be OU provided there are no funny things like increased attraction during the metal crystalization phase.
I looked up Gladolium Refrigeration in reference to Mylow's
motor. Apparently Gladolium takes a 2T Tesla magnetic field
to activate it. Then you have to remove this field to
get it to cool. It would depend on the "magnetic moment";
the amount of attraction between the mass of the cooling
material and the magnet to determan how much work energy
would be required to get these components to separate. The
new material is an iron alloy, which doesn't sound promising
in terms of low work to get it to self run, but since
room temperature is not a universal constant it may
actually be possible to get it self run in various places
even if it doesn't self run at 72 degrees F.

These should also work really well for a heat pump for household heating because at -450F a good winter temperature of -20F would be about the same as fire heating the unit.
Suppose you were to mount a lump of MCE material with an appropriate Magnet to the heat end of a linear Sterling Engine setup as a substitute for a "conventional" heat source.
Would it be a Fuelless Engine if it worked.
To get the cooling effect they need the heat and cooling effect, and they need to alternate the magnetic field, or the MCE material to make that happen (Requires Energy).
If all you want is the heat you may not need that to take place, and keep both materials stationary, and even if you do need movement it could be as simple as a bimetallic spring changing the orientation of the components.

I know that this is not that simple, just figuring out the MCE material is well beyond my pay grade, but it appears that this MCE concept has been around since before the space program and I found a lot of information on-line well beyond the link below.

This refrigerator is really convenient. No electricity save a lot of energy. A ordinary refrigerator really consumes a lot of electricity not like the other appliances.

yes, sure you need energy to move the physical magnet, or power the dimmer-switch on your electromagnet...
but if the thermal exchange occurs for a fraction of the standardized energy levels, then the equation falls apart.
you now have an additional variable on one side of the equation.
Namely, the Heat-to-Flux conversion factor of the gadolinium-silicone alloy, when interacting with an external magnetic field.
certainly there is an underlying "universal constant" or heat to flux vs permeability or something of the sort,.
they'll name it after some scientist that figures it all out.
but in the meantime, lets hook one of these MCE's to the cold-side of a thermoelectric generator.
loop it back to the electromagnet, and have a fieldday with the extra heat it draws from the local environment while creating electricity.
like an A/C unit + Power Source
100% of the extra energy can be accounted for, environmentally.
but unless or until your environment reaches a temperature close to or equal to the temperature of the MCE material, it will continue to generate power. Much more than it costs to create the effect.

That could be really helpful to us people who uses refrigerator. Because of too much consumption of electricity really a pain in the neck. I hope I can have this kind of refrigerator available in our house.
