Aluminum reacts with water to create hydrogen, what's wrong with the alumium in pop cans?

because I saw a post on this forum saying to mix that with a popcan tab and water to make hydrogen, I think that's what it said, can't find it now. thx.

I believe aluminium pop cans have a coating of varnish.

You might try using an evaperator from an auto air conditioning system. Can get them cheap from a junker that already has the engine out at the wrecking yard.. Be careful to get aluminum not stainless.
